Indication

Asafoetida is a valuable homoeopathic medicine prepared from the gum resin of Narthex asafoetida, a member of the Umbelliferae family. It is especially suited to hysterical and hypochondriacal patients, and has a prominent action on the gastrointestinal tractbones, and nervous system. It is notable for conditions involving flatulenceulcerations, and bone caries, particularly in syphilitic constitutions. Asafoetida also exhibits strong anti-spasmodic action and is helpful in nightly boring pains, and offensive discharges.
