Indication

Carduus marianus, commonly known as Milk Thistle, is a homoeopathic medicine derived from the seeds of the plant Silybum marianum

Common Names: Doodh Patra, Milk Thistle

SBL's Carduus marianus can be helpful in the following conditions:

• Jaundice and Hyperæmia

• The drug is indicated for conditions characterized by yellowing of the skin and eyes due to liver dysfunction and increased blood flow in the liver.

• Cirrhosis

• A chronic liver disease where the liver becomes severely scarred, often accompanied by dropsy (fluid retention).

• Gallstone Disease

• Pain and discomfort due to the presence of gallstones, potentially leading to an enlarged liver.

• Hepatic Disease-related Symptoms

• General symptoms like pain in the liver region, sensitivity in the left lobe of the liver, and fullness with soreness.

• Hæmorrhages

• Constipation and Diarrhœa
