Indication

Illicium anisatum is a potent homoeopathic medicine derived from the seeds of the Star Anise plant, belonging from Magnoliaceae family, very well-known for its aromatic and medicinal properties. Its primary sphere of action includes the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory system, skin, and nervous system. It is especially useful in cases of catarrhal conditions, violent colic, gastric discomfort, asthmatic dyspnoea, and hæmoptysis. The medicine is also indicated in patients with aphthous conditions, stomach acidity, and viscid phlegm, particularly in those with a history of chronic alcohol use. The symptoms tend to show marked variation with position and time of day, and peculiar sensations such as numbness, stinging, crawling, and pain like broken bones. Helpful in cases of urinary retention.
