Indication

Rheum palmatum, or Rhubarb, is a traditional homoeopathic medicine derived from dried root of the plant also known as Rhabarbarum, belonging from Polygonaceæ family. It is known for its action on the digestive system, especially in children. It is often indicated in cases of sour-smelling diarrhea, colicky abdominal pain, and teething troubles. The whole child may emit a sour odor—from sweat, stool, or breath. It is especially useful during difficult dentition and in children who are restless, crying, moaning, and wakeful at night. Rheum also affects the nervous system, producing states of drowsy confusion or a dream-like consciousness.
