Senna is a homoeopathic medicine prepared from the dried leaflets of various Cassia species, especially Cassia obovata, commonly known as Alexandrian Senna. Belonging to the Leguminosae family, Senna shows a marked affinity for the digestive tract, liver, urinary system, and general metabolism. It tremendously aids in infantile colic, treats constipation with flatulence, supports detoxification in cases of nitrogenous waste, and manages disturbed sleep patterns, especially in children.
