Spigelia marilandica is a lesser-used but notable homoeopathic medicine prepared from the tincture of the root of the Pink-root plant, also known as Worm-grass. Belonging to the Loganiaceae family, it carries a strong action on the nervous system and mind. While its primary use has historically been in herbal worm medicines, homoeopathically it shows a unique sphere of action—especially in acute mental states and right-sided eye issues. It is particularly suited to cases showing sudden, wild mental excitement, disturbances of eye coordination (such as strabismus of the right eye), and trembling weakness with heat and restlessness.
